This aquatic sports complex is set within the midst of a master planned community park on the edge of the San Diego River in the heart of the City of Santee. The aquatic facility consists of a 25-meter lap pool, a recreational pool with a children’s play pool and a waterslide, locker rooms, pool storage and pool equipment. Also included is a 32,000 square foot gymnastics center. The project will be operated by the YMCA and is being built as a collaboration between the City and the YMCA.

Future phases include adding a two-story building to the complex, which will house a Community Center with meeting rooms for local groups and City Administrative offices. A civic gymnasium is also planned.

The facility is designed to tie into the Town Center Master Plan. The design reflects and enhances the surrounding neighborhood and riverside location.
