Huntington Beach Water Utilities Yard Expansion and Upgrade
The City of Huntington Beach Public Works, Water/Wastewater Division serves the City of Huntington Beach in Orange County. The Utilities Division Operations Yard is located at 19001 Huntington Street and is the main operating center for the city=owned water and wastewater enterprise.
The RBA/PWA team prepared a Facilities Master Plan for the utilities operations yard, providing concept design and recommendations for enhancing operating efficiencies and effectiveness. The recommendations detail the design and construction of a new and remodeled facility meeting present and future staffing and operations needs. The team is proceeding with Construction Documents production for the project, providing:
Remodel and seismic upgrade of existing Operations/Administration Building
Construction of new Operations Building to provide for training, GIS, water quality, and expanded laboratory facilities
Construction of new Distribution and Meter Building to provide workshops for water distribution and metering, and wastewater operations
Construction of new storage facility addition to existing Production Building
Construction of new covered vehicle and fleet parking facilities
Associated site work including landscaping, site fencing, and relocation of existing miscellaneous support facilities.
