Working intensively with Community Focus Groups and the County of San Diego, Platt/Whitelaw Architects created the design for a new branch library, located in the rural community of Campo, for the County of San Diego.

The new library is located directly adjacent to a local school and is designed to complement the architectural character of the old school house.

The library is approximately 2,555 square feet and includes an adult/young adult area, a children’s library, a homework center, staff work room and Friends of the Library area. An outdoor reading terrace serves both the children’s and the adult’s reading areas. Community display areas are provided throughout the library.
